Homestead and Garden Apprentice
...wanted at our historic granite quarry site in Sullivan, Maine near Acadia National Park.
We have a large well-established organic vegetable garden with greenhouses, fruit trees, berry bushes, bees, and chickens, all for the purpose of sustainable living education, and uniting and giving back to the community.
Offering room and board in exchange for 4 hours daily work during the week; stipend depending on situation. Housing available in cabins, gypsy wagon, the boat or tents, all with Wi-Fi.
Our homestead is open to the public as an outdoor art gallery and stone sculpting studio with classes and demonstrations. Must be self-motivated and friendly.
Opportunities include: gardening, forestry, boating on the bay, carpentry, cooking, and much more. Pristine quarry pool for swimming, paddle boarding, hiking/biking trails, and a sauna. This is a great opportunity to try out large scale gardening as well as sustainable practices in herbalism, permaculture, and small community living.
